In the year 2004 she gave her first album out: Le Monde Change, produced by dj Claude Monnet and released on the label SSOH, gave a striking image of the wide spectrum of her talent, from club classics to intimist ballads. In this unpredictable fusion of influences ranging from french smart pop to brasilian masterworks, she tipped her hat to the tropical wave, exploring a sound world that includes urban breakbeats as well as folk reminisecences and live guitars.

Coming from an artistic background- born and raised in a family of artists, being for many years a part of the famous group Kaoma that gave the Lambada to the world, Monica, after experiencing a huge success for ready-made summer hits, truly went deep into songwriting and more personnal projects. Bingo! Le monde Change made more than one listener dream from a better and smoother world thanks to classy bossa tunes, melancolic and merry melodies from Brasil mixed with some truly futuristic beats. The album sounded light and fresh, therefore was more than welcome at a time when Brazil stereotypes such as carnival, and a boring cliché of sensuality were the only carte de visite for brasilian artists.
